website!
Festival of
the Trees and Lights
Thank you for your support of our
Second Annual Festival of
the Trees and Lights!
Getting
Results
Since November of 2005, the Cathedral
Square Homeless Program has provided assistance
to 113 homeless
individuals who were living on the streets of downtown Sacramento. We
are pleased to report that over 50% of our clients leave our
program with long term, affordable housing. Of the
individuals we have served, 33 have left our program after
securing employment and 36 have left our program with some form of
government assistance. We helped these individuals
secure long-term, affordable housing that they can afford
for the long-term.

About the
program
Thanks to the hard work of our team, the support
of our partners, and the generous contributions made by many
individuals, the program has enjoyed tremendous success.
For homeless
individuals who want to work, the program provides a
stable address, phone, ability to shower, clothes, food,
support and encouragement that make it possible to find
employment. The bus passes we provide allow
individuals to travel to interviews and work until they
receive their first paycheck. Once the
individual starts getting paid, we help them to find
affordable housing.
Many homeless
individuals suffer from mental illness. Several
homeless individuals that come to us are eligible for
government assistance due to their disabilities.
Some homeless who enter into the program are not
receiving disability checks because they do not have an address. We help individuals apply
for and receive
the government
assistance they are eligible for.
There are homeless individuals living on the streets that
need our help. Please be as generous as you can and
donate to the program.
